I'm not sure, but something about the ending really got me ^_^ It's probably that, while most of the story is focused mainly on Tezuka's drive to make Fuji play at his full potential, it comes to nothing in the end.

I suppose if you look at it from Tezuka's point of view it's a very happy ending, but I found it a bit depressing ^_^;;
