So, because Wayne State apparentley never cancels classes, I had to trek/drive through the treacherous streets to get to school this morning at 8:30. Thankfully my professor showed up, so me and the six other people who bothered coming to class got credit ( Read more... )

Michigan never closes either. My mom was just telling me that Wayne State never used to have snow days as a way of comforting me, since she is sitting at home all warm and cozy and NOT in the snow.

There's something really backwards about the whole thing.

You know though- I can kind of understand Michigan not closing though since it is a "normal" college, and everyone lives relatively nearby, as where Wayne is mostly a commuter school. The only time I havent had class is when the power in Old Main (where all my classes are) was out- it's a little rediculous.

Delaware had a major catastrophe yesterday - 2 inches of snow and ice - wooo hoooo!!!
They are still plowing this morning and Wilmington sidestreets are not even touched. It is so hilarious when people are all freaked out and they say "Oh, aren't you afraid". I just look at them and smile and say "I lived in Detroit". They shut up and walk away.

Oh, Becky, Laurel used to bitch when she had to walk a quarter mile at Blue Lake in the summer from her cabin to the music hall - well, she did have the big ass horn to carry.

ahh laurel! that band you were talking about i forget what they're called but they did that song that was in billy elliot and i thought you should know (which you probably do) and be glad. what days do you not have school and rehearsal cause its probably easier for me to fit my schedule around yours. are you going to that metrotimes detroit music thing its like march 7-10 i think.

Hmm let's see... monday I dont have class from 9:30-12:50, and then after 4:30 I'm free (same thing on wednesdays). Tuesday I have class untill 12:45, and thursday untill 2:30. Then on friday I'm free after 4:30.

I'm not sure, but probably. I havent looked at any of the bands that are going to be playing.
