not much actually. The rain here has snow mixed in with it for the 2nd time in 2 days. I keep gonna make a Real Post (with SCA-related content, even!) but I'm bogged down with school.

GA is supposed to do the embroidery competition this year. I want to have a back-up plan in place ... if you would be so kind again. I do have your bag, and I've got prizes.

Yup, can do. I'm supposed to be helping Dee with the bobbin lace competition too, if that's still on. It's as easy to run two as it is to run one, IYKWIM.

ok. I'm still trying to pick a pattern. I need to get with Elewyiss and see if she's heard anything -- and then I'll contact the GA folks to make sure. I *do* have your Hedgehog Handworks tote, BTW. I don't have a snail-mail address for you, though.

I shall. I still haven't given you the book reference I'm using, and I need to dig it out and get it to you. I don't have Geiger (that's for after I win the lottery) this is that picture in one of the Viking references Theo's got. I've enlarged it to show how the wire is twisted, but there are still some little holes actually fashioned into the wire fabric that I haven't figured out.

What Viking reference Theo's got?!?!?! Twisted wire?!?!?! Must have input!! Send me a copy of the photo pleasepleasepleaseplease!

If I'd had two brain cells to rub together, I would have tried to order Geijer through ILL, but now I'm afraid I won't have time before Gulf Wars. I've got a couple of new sources to add; they had some really cool extant pieces, and I'm hoping to get my wire in time to make a couple of new things.
