Best were Ando and Hiro, hands down. Ando with a sword and Hiro saying that stuff to his dad and then rescuing his princess, omg. Just perfect in every way. Did I ever tell you, livejournal, that I MET SULU ONCE??? Cause I did.

Far be it from me to complain about hot, heavy punches between angsty, stubbly boys, but I really thought there was going to be some crazy POWERS fighting last night. Like, I thought they were saving up their budget for some fucking crazy fireballs and flying. It happened so fast, and it was great, but it was not enough. I could watch hours of them beating each other bloody. Ahem, excuse me. I thought all the heroes were going to be, like, donning their capes of awesomeness and just having a field day. But they were all sort of huddling with their families, and ... I dunno. Not as good as it could have been. I guess they were busy crafting that "bad ass" line for Ando. Totally worth it.

Goodness, Claire's hair is bouncy and gorgeous, and I was delighted that she threw herself out the window, but they need to start USING her, fo reals. I loved learning Mr. Bennett's name. Mohinder attached to Molly plotline: meh. Much like Orlando Bloom, Mohinder's cute but he's SO DUMB. Molly and Micah, yes forever.

The feminist outrage at the portrayal of women on this show is starting to creep its way into my mind. When Niki got into the fight with Sylar and Petrelli, I was actually super-jazzed, and then P was all, "go back to your family"??? Um. Ew.

Question: I thought it was hinted that the shape-shifting lady was really fat in her true form? Was that just convenient television-making, so we would know who was impersonating N/J? Because I was really liking the hint that she was fat.

Today we went on a hike and as we were puffing our way up the mountain, someone told us they'd just run into a cougar a little further up. Thrill! The kid got scared, which is a perfectly rational reaction, so we headed back down. I believe cougar procedure is the same as bear procedure: be loud and slowly back away. File that one away with this tidbit I also learned in school: You can always outrun a drunk.
