usually on friday nights my kid is at her dad's, but tonight she is with me, and the very finest part of the situation is that we can wake up and go to the farmers' market tomorrow morning - i don't know why i feel like i can't go without a kid, but there it is. one of her preschool chums became a big sister yesterday, and we are taking her with ( Read more... )

oh, babies. i do not have that mom gene, but i am tickled that when our front desk girl comes back from maternity she can have her tiny boy with us one day a week. yayes :)

it is good to resist the babies. they ruin so much. but yes, other ppl's babies are usually great.

i've discovered that i can listen to audiobooks while i catalog (obviously i'm doing entry-level stuff, which requires only half of my brain). it is STOKING me OUT!

I've seen Looking For Alaska at the bookstore and almost bought it several times! I think it's because it has Alaska in the title, and I used to live there...so it's good? I'm always drawn to the Young Adult section...

the young adult section is easily the best. why should we ever leave it? I really liked Looking for Alaska - but there's not really anything about our fair state in it. just so you're warned!
