There are disadvantages to homebrewing. For each demijohn you bottle, you get between a wineglass and a half-pint of surplus, which has to be drunk up, or it'd be a shocking waste. We've just bottled five demi-johns on an empty stomach.

I`m trying to extend out patio, which involves lots of digging and turf-cutting. Today, it's wet, humid, and while not very warm, utterly debilitating. Also, the good growing weather we've had lately means I keep slipping and sliding on drizzled-on grass clippings. If I land on my backside one more time....

Why are nice ties so hard to find? I was trying to get one for his nibs to wear to our friends` wedding next weekend (I`ve finally got him into a smart suit!), and all the ones I could find were twenty quid each, hideously garish, or (most often) both.
