GLEEEEEEEEE! Oh, baby- it's perfect! Mature, world-weary Jensen and hot-shot, cocky Jared, GUH. It's a winning combination. AND LAUREN OMG! Her inclusion was way hotter than it shoulda been, nnnngh. You had me from the beginning, but you won my heart all over again with all that shared history you hinted and teased at; so that even if we never saw it firshand, we totally bought every gorgeous thing that had gone before the boys.

Man, I could quote this whole thing back to you as examples of awesomeness, but it's 8am here now and Laura needs her sleepies. But for the record, the dirty talking and fucking Jensen over a desk? YES, OH GOD YES. Oh and- warm, Texas summers and young, freckled skin he’d licked and loved. - Totally my favourite line of the whole thing, it made me all squirmy with glee! Also, plz to be writing LOTS more about Jensen's 'dirty, slutty mouth', yes?

Awww thank you SO MUCH!! You know how nervous I get, and I just REALLY wanted it all to work...I really enjoyed writing this one, but I was worried if the Harlequin prompt would still match up with them as BOYS and MEN in lurve, and you know. *g*

I loved this! You really did a great job with the prompt and even though I've only seen the World Series of Poker once (and not even the whole thing) I didn't feel lost at all while reading.

Jared! Ah, I love cocky Jared and how he just laughs things off. Your description of his laugh and how people react to it had me grinning. And then enter Jensen and hoo boy, the tension just got thicker. There were all these moments that I could point out but a few that really got me were when they were golfing with Tom and then when Jensen first says he loves Jared.

And to top it all off, you managed to create a whole history between the boys without ever having to flat out say what happened between them. Plus there was Lauren Graham and all her hotness and she and Jared were just wonderful together and then there was some brief Sophia Bush and that was just as awesome. All in all, I loved it, you did wonderful and this gets two thumbs up!

I know fuck-all about poker, but I was riveted during the poker sequences; I could feel the tension ratcheting up as the hands progressed.

As for the rest, well...you had me making squeeful noises at a pitch only dogs can hear. It was all hot and sweet and aching by turns, and you really made me adore everyone-even The Chad. *g*

Oh, YAY! That's a wonderful compliment to give! I was really toeing the line with being too in-your-face with the poker, and not being realistic ENOUGH...so I'm glad it worked for those of you who don't really know the game. *fist pump*

Oh, man, I loved this fic. I love the flow and the writing style -- it just feels so tightly packed with action, with things happening, and emotions being slowly revealed. The tension between Jared and Jensen was tangible and deliciously done. I love how they hardly speak at all and are such men about it, the both of them, but they still get each other in the end. Love how the common background and common history shine through at every moment. And, guh, it was so, so hot.

Like everyone else said, the side characters were wonderful, Chad and Lauren, and Tom, too. It made the story feel real and fully fleshed out, and like you really get to know the world Jared lives in.

Thank you for the glossary, too, or I would have been at a complete loss. *g*
