I've got this idea that there's more to the body than we're aware of.  And I don't mean the percentage of our brain that we don't use - I'm talking whole body parts we're not even aware of.

Maybe all organisms are exactly the same, but their only aware of certain parts of their bodies.  Evolution would be the process of gaining knowledge of/ ( Read more... )

But then how can you perceive other life forms/imagine them. Aren't you becoming aware of gills by seeing a fish?

(YOU MEAN I CAN BE BATMAN IF I REALLY WANTED TO?! Oh wait. I'm not rich. Nevermind then.)

You're aware of the fish's gills, not your own. I denno - its not like its a stable theory or anything - just a random idea I found interesting. I should flesh it out though.

Oh no, I highly doubt that its true. But it would be a fun idea for a story :D

Also, I think the 10% brain thing was about how we don't use anymore than that at any given time. Ex. we won't be thinking of literature, science, math, videogames, soccer, and socks all at once. ^_^;;
