I have a big Batman pillow, like three feet tall, that I squeeze on for episodes exactly like this. All throughout the episode I had him in a headlock of doom.
Omg this episode was awesome. Way too much hotness for me to handle in one episode. I love how dean was the first seal broken and we now know it was all apart of lilith's plan. I feel so bad for dean though that poor boy always carryong the weight of the world on his shoulders. Now I'm wondering if my suspicions about ruby have been right all along. I really think she's been working with lilith since last season.

So many people are saying that now. Which would be awesome, I think, because how utterly devastated would Sam be? It would be perfect. I don't understand what their aim is, because he can kill demons now, so...a fallen angel hates what he's made and what he's become, so he wants the perfect vessel (Sam) who also has the power to kill demons? Lucifer undoes all his hard work and wants to be accepted into God's arms again?
Or can Sam also take apart angels, and that was the barely concealed terror on Castiel's face after Sam finished working over Alistair?
Or...something else? Sam's going further and further, gone so far that he leaves Dean in a hospital for fuck knows what. I just can't figure out what they're doing with Sam, because he's so obviously going to the dark side. I just can't figure out what they're aiming for.
I dunno I think this is all going back to john's original deal. I think azazel and lilith were working together to start breaking the seals. I also think that sam was meant to be more than just a leader of a demon army and that its always been dean's fate to fight his brother. maybe there was more to mary telling dean that angels were watching over him just to get him to go to sleep. im thinking she knew what their fates were.
Seriously, everything about this episode was just effing amazing!
I even liked Ruby in this, and how she helped I know!! Just...the way she was like petting him and telling him it was okay. I loved it for how fucked up it was. OMG. I'm still on a high from this episode, wtf.
I'm so epically psyched for the rest of this season, you don't even know. Or, actually, you do. But you know what I mean.
And, and, and! Because I can't stop thinking about it...YES, Sam's reaction to Cas in the hospital! OMG. I LOVE how we got to see him being all protective and pissed that Cas put Dean through that. OMG. Okay. I have to try to calm down.
I loved his reaction in the hospital, but then he walked away. Why did he walk away? What did he do for the remainder of the episode that was more important?
Also, Jared. How amazing was he with the obvious anger and frustration and power and God, standing up and yelling at Castiel for what he put Dean through. Jared was awesome.
i agree with the first comment, you are sooo more coherent about the whole thing. i just. i'm mush right now. my brain cannot function.
i agree with you about alastair. everything you said. the actor was fan-fucking-tastic, and i'm actually going to miss that character. but at the same time, yay? they can worry about something else now?
After having slept on it, I'm stuck on how SAM LEFT DEAN IN THE HOSPITAL. FOR WHAT?
:((( No one knows. Except Sam, but he won't tell you. Or he won't tell you the truth. OMG Sam. I miss him, because he's not really all that Sammy-like anymore.
Ahahaha, I just read the edit to this post. I can't help it, I'm still ridiculously happy with Sam after last night, I don't know why. He's just so damn awesome. I know it could be leading down a terrible path, but I seriously love him after that episode.
I still love him, I'm just scared for him. And Dean. And Castiel. Okay, mostly Dean, because after that episode something better go right in his life. I swear to God, he better have something good happen to him. And with Sam the way he is, derisive of Dean and writing him off as weak, well. I just think that nothing good can happen to Dean while Sam is like that.
And then, I'm worried about Sam, who doesn't even seem to notice how far he's going wayside. Which is awesome in the sense that Jared is doing an amazing job, but it sucks because once he does realize it, it'll either be too late, or it won't be but he'll look back on what he's done to get here and he'll just...break. Or he might not realize it at all, he might never figure out what he's becoming and how different it is from how he was, and that would be the most heartbreaking thing of all, I think. :( Sam, ilu and imissu.
It's just frustrating, because he's a genius. A genius who is being spectacularly stupid. An evil genius, if you will. :///
Okay, mostly Dean, because after that episode something better go right in his life. I swear to God, he better have something good happen to him. Seriously! Dean needs some kind of happy ending. Or some kind of relief. They both do. But Dean, especially. He's been through way too much shit, and to think it's just gonna keep going? Oh, God. I still seriously want to hug him. Bad. It's so not fair. At all. OMG, none of it is. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...this show is going to kill me. I'm betting we're going to need major hugs after the season finale.
