There is no communication here, in fact there hasn't been from the journal for serveral days. It can be found sitting in the Astronomy TA's office on top of his/her desk, but the teacher is no where in sight. Nuriko won't turn up for classes, for meals, for anything. It'll be as if he's disappeared...unless someone happens to go into his room in ( Read more... )

He hadn't seen Nuriko in a while, and though he seemed wholly unaffected by whatever prank the castle was playing now, he couldn't help but worry about her. When the knock on her door received no response, he slowly opened it and peered inside. His world froze, as if his veins had turned to ice water. Nuriko didn't appear wounded, but he didn't seem to be breathing! As he rushed to her side he couldn't help the thoughts that rushed through his mind.

What...but this wasn't supposed to happen yet! Not until...but things have changed...What if this is because we've changed things now?

He cradled Nuriko's head in his lap, reassured that she was, in fact, breathing. Digging in his bags he scribbled a note in his journal for help. Though he looked as calm and collected as ever, the truth was he was absolutely terrified. All he could do was hold his love close, and hope that someone would be by soon, he was unwilling to move him lest he be injured.

"Nuriko...please wake up..."

Any signs of life the TA was showing were weak at best. His heartbeat was slow and agonizing, barely keeping him alive, while any air he took in was shallow, as if he had trouble takin in the oxygen on his own. If Hotohori felt the pulse in his neck or wrist, he would find it was thready at best, at worst erratic, the struggle for his comatose brain to give signals to his body to keep him alive evident.

This was how it was, how it had been for twelve years, and it did not seem like it would change now, as the limp form did not stir in Hotohori's grasp.

"Nuri...I'm so sorry..."

He spent his time waiting for Professor House just cradling her close. He closed his eyes, wishing and praying for something, anything to help.
