"Well, it's only a matter of time before the security guards hustle 'em out that door there." Pippi mused. "Although I wouldn't put it past one of our number to try and hide inside the mall as it closed."
Overhead the already gray sky was getting darker, Pippi peeked out of the bus stop shelter and looked up.
"There's a roof access ladder tucked into a weird nook at the back of the bookstore." Pippi explained. "It's around the corner and down the street a bit. From what I can tell, it's in a blind spot for the security cameras... You okay with hights?"
"We're heading for what I think is a secret vault under the food court. Like I said at breakfast, I don't know what's guarding this thing except one security guard who never takes a day off. But when we were walking around in there I noticed lots of little... Not wards. But markings, sort of built in to the tile work and stuff, and they are probably some kinda magic."

"Hmm, looks like rain."
