Pippi carried the tree trunk over her head and walked out into the middle of the road. She turned and looked down the road for a moment before dropping the trunk at her feet

Pippi was short sheeting the cots in a large multi person tent.

"This is like taking candy from a baby." she said quietly. "Only I don't feel bad at all."

Pippi grabbed the footlocker and peeked out the front flap.

"Somebody's patrolling down the row. They don't seem to be checking inside the tents but lets slip out under the back wall just in case."

Pip turned the corner quickly, his assault rifle held up and braced against his shoulder.

If Pip had heard voices in the tent he must have been hearing things. Because the tent was empty.

And most of the beds were missing their blankets.

And some footlockers were missing.
