 I've been watching the US Skins. It's OK but the acting is crap and it's fairly tame compared to the first season of the British one. It almost seems to be more 'socially responsible'. The first UK season was aired just after I went to uni but the characters were fairly identifiable with. My friend group didn't have so much sex and barley did any

Ahhh, the American version is TERRIBLE. The acting, like you said, is crap. And it's bad enough that I could barely make it through a whole episode. I watched the British one for the first two seasons. Then lost interest, but what I saw was very decent.
