 I saw this on Amazon a while back and thought "Wow, what an ugly piece of crap. How did someone with so bad an eye for design end up commercially doing stuff like this? Also, even if it was well done, who the fuck wants 'pop art' Nathan Fillion?" naturally I had to buy it.

It's not good v evil, it's summer v winter. Sorry, I used to be heavily involved, so get a bit touchy! It's basically meant to portray the changing of the seasons :-)

Hmm. I'm not entirely happy with the way they did it this year to be honest. The fight is between the Green Man and his winter incarnation, the Horned God, and most years they are portrayed as brothers fighting over the who gets to be in power. When the HG kills the GM he is distraught as he has pretty much killed his own brother. The GM is usually resurrected (which they didn't do this year, grr). I guess people could see it as good v. evil, but most involved view it as the changing of the seasons. The Red Men at Beltane are often seen as Devils, but they actually more represent mischief etc. A LOT of badly researched shit is written about the festivals.
