... that one of the occasional sights on the commute across 520 is a honking great bald eagle. I never really expected to ever see one outside of a zoo and now I get to see one just hanging out on a lamppost watching the cars or merrily catching the thermals from the traffic

He was perched on one of the sculptures/fountains when I drove over.

It always makes me so happy to see him there. That's one of the things I love about this area. Traffic becomes much more bearable when there's a bald eagle flying over your car.
