I'm truly sorry I didn't join in to celebrate the release last night. Congratulations to Jilli on the release!

Glee looks odd on you, but I'm sure I like it. :-)

I'm very impressed with the investment of time, effort, energy & money you (both) are making in this book launch - and I know it's the ONLY way to do it. Good for you for taking the bit in your collective teeth, even in the face of the bigness of the bills, the strenuous travel & preparations & theater. I can only repeat: I'm impressed (and only a smidge jealous, i swear.)

Fantastic job, both of you.

It's like I said some time ago to Jilli; "If the book isn't a big success, it won't be because we didn't try."

It went fantastically!!

I got my own little bit of EEEEEEE Squeaky when I heard they had SOLD OUT OF COPIES!!! EEEEEEE!!!

I love those words "sold out"... I hope they will come up often.

I want to see her hit the best seller list this year!!

(side note: never before has THIS ICON been more appropriate!!!)

It would be lovely to hit the best seller list but that's a big mountain to climb.

there are 6 months to get there, and I have absolute confidence. I don't expect it to hit TOP TEN or anything, just to make the list. I would be OMG thrilled to see it hit Top Ten. But I think just hitting the top 100 books of the year would be a major accomplishment.

I showed The Book to one of my co-workers today, and she liked it so much that she was thinking of getting a copy. This girl is about as non-goth as you can get (but she'd be "goth-friendly" if she knew the term), and she thought it was great! She loved your illustrations. At the very least, she took a bookmark and will mention it whenever the opp arises!

See, that's the message we REALLY need to get out. This is an approachable book about Goth that is intended for everyone.
