I think Jacob is perfectly capable of operating a small coven!

On an alarming scale, people don't think about these things -- not just about being a Tale, but basic principles. Ontological, metaphysical, and ethical questions go unanswered because people are, by and large, occupied with other things. Which is a shame, because living one's life deductively as opposed to inductively is rarely productive. Not trying to be judgmental, but that's just the way it is. You can't choose your ethics without first deciding what you believe about origin, and so on. Address the Great Questions and you can move on from there.

If I've caused at least the slightest stir, I'll consider this entry a success. Even if I didn't get a single response, the prospect of causing someone to think would be good enough.

How very epicurean! You remember carrying on a similar attitude in every incarnation, or at least several? If you don't mind my asking.
