Wowww, I legit cannot take this right now. Looked at the notes from a tumblr post I responded to of this promo and a few comments throughout actually say some think Jo should stay and that she can't leave and I guess a part of me will be sad to see her leave if she does because I actually really like Jo and think she's a great and interesting ( Read more... )

Okay, what you said about all of them sprinting to the airport together, even though only Kendall really "needs" to be doing so? That reminds me so much of the very first episode, when all the boys were trying so hard to make James' dream a reality. It wasn't just James seeing the audition and needling his friends to help him out, it wasn't just Logan going with him because he needed someone to drive, it was all of them, all working towards the same goal, no question. And that's what first really drew me into the show. So as long as that doesn't change, yeah, I really doubt "everything" will, either. ♥

That said, I'll miss Jo and her awesome friendship with Camille and her amazing hair. :( But hopefully three years in New Zealand = a LotR ripoff-type-thing, because Jo Taylor as an elven princess or whatever could be EPIC.

TWO WORDS: I. AGREE.

WHAT IS WITH NOT LETTING GIRLS GO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT TO. YOU DO NOT GET TO MAKE US FEEL BAD FOR GETTING WHAT WE WANT. YOU DO NOT GET TO GUILT-TRIP US THAT'S REALLY REALLY LOW.

(besides, the boys have each other. who else do they neeeeed.)

Okay I am probably about to piss a bunch of people off right now.

I would never choose my job, even my dream job, over love. EVER. Marriages do not break up because Shelly has a dream job in Boston and Bob just got a dream job in Seattle. People work it out but always in favor of the relationship, never in favor of a job, or the relationship was never that strong to begin with. And yes, I realize Kendall and Jo are not married, but non-married couples do the same thing. It is only the non-married couple people would suggest that to, which kind of aggravates me. Is their relationship not as valid because they aren't married? What if they break up five years from now? Was the decision not valid when you made it?

Furthermore, actors and actresses turn down jobs all the time and still get more jobs later. It's not like this one movie is the end-all be-all of Jo's career and if she doesn't take it, she'll never work again. She's in freaking Hollywood. She's already really successful in New Town High, she'll be able to get more work. I ( ... )

I feel I should also mention that I don't mean I would never move. Because it's actually something I desperately want to do, and far away. But I would not move just anywhere, I'd have to sufficiently LOVE the place, and I'd only go about applying to jobs there once I knew I need to be there. Where my dad lives, is not that place. Also I don't really have any close friends the way Jo does, and I still couldn't do it just to go to Georgia. It'd have to be one of a list of about ten places or it'd have to be for an extended round-the-world vacation. If, for instance, it was on my list? I'd do it, but only on my terms. But if it was in one of a million amazing, amazing places that aren't on my list, I'd pass. Even New Zealand. Or Cologne, Germany. Or Sao Paolo, Brazil. Or wherever. Just because the place is world renowned, doesn't mean someone should move there if offered.

I really agree with you because if anything, Jo represents a woman that goes after her dreams, and doesn't need to have a man to feel complete. The fact that she's with Kendall is not out of a NEED to have a boyfriend but because she genuinely likes him (I mean, shipper goggles aside, she's at least very fond of him). I hope this promo actually goes the way it looks like it's going to go, and she does in fact choose her career. And hey, long distance relationships work out! I know several people in long distance relationships, continents a part for more than three years, and they are still happy and together.
