so, let's talk about what's been going on - it has been a while.
let's see. got home from vandy on may seventh. been just hanging out, mostly - catching up with old friends, spending time with the family, so forth. took a trip to PA to visit family (dad was running a nearby marathon in DE) a few weekends ago, and that was fun.
this past wednesday through sunday i was in western north carolina at MONTREAT conference center and presbyterian mecca. and it was muchos fun. i was on keynote team for montreat collegiate conference, which is much smaller than youth conference (only one session of about eighty people), but definitely still fun. a few pictures:
here are the beautiful mountains (from the top of lookout):
and here is me:
and here is a picture of me, annie, and david. annie was in my burning bush small group at montreat in 2002, david was in governor's school with me the next summer. and then, they met at nyu and became best friends. crazy, huh? annie's now on summer staff at montreat and david was up to visit.
here is the keynote team (we were well-received!):
then, after my return last night, some of my BESTEST FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD came over for a little reminiscence and gossip and togetherness. they are my four musketeer friends from church. and honestly, i miss them more than many.
here we are smiling:
here we are doing the "all for one, one for all" business:
and here is the note katherine left me on the refrigerator:
i love them and i miss them.
let's see. other news? my sister has a boyfriend. and i really think that's against some law somewhere. hmm. i miss montreat already. i always miss montreat. i really miss my former montreat crew. y'all are all awesome.
alright, that exhausted me. i'm done for now. worldchanging plan and philosophy and so forth coming soon.
happy trails.
