Ireland are cocky. That's been our problem for the past year and it's continuing to dog us. The pack thinks it's great, and it's right. It's a good team, however, like me and the fiddle at the age of 13, they're thinking 'I don't need to practice, I don't need to bother with all of this, I know I can do it so I'm just going to sit back and blag it on the day'. Then the day comes and they find out that Namibia have ppoured thousands into training their squad and getting great coaches and are better than expected. They find that Georgia do indeed know how to throw a ball about, and they find out that they maybe should have gone out last week and thrown the ball about a bit.
Untill we get out of the mindset that we're better then everybody else, then we'll continue to lose. Not that I want a crisis of confidence, I just want them to realise that God isn't just going to give them the cup.
At this stage I'm hoping Ireland lose, and lose badly, so that they get a wake-up call they can't ignore. Maybe that will put us back on form.
