This has nothing to do with your point, but I must say I was kind of unnerved by the fact that this was a woman in the 20 to 25 year old demographic, her name was Alison and she lived in Markham. Ee-yipes! If this becomes a pattern, I hope that you, Fono, talk about my high alcohol tolerance and interesting breasts, rather than boring anecdotes about me liking puppies and being nice to people. but yes, in all seriousness, the press does have a knack of glamorizing AND overpublicizing the white middle class dead, which is something that I find uncomfortable. That's because to most of the Canadian newspaper-reading demographic, the deaths of non-Caucasians by errant bullets in areas like Jane and Finch equals "gang" and we certainly don't want to read those kinds of stories over our bowls of Crispix in the morning! Nevermind that many of these people were civilians. Or, like, children.

I hate the news sometimes.

Cool! What about kittens and puppies? Dong good with kittens and puppies is always good press stuff. I guess the reason why they Glow about rich dead poo heads is because the paper, funeral home, ect ect ect is hopeing for a donation form the rich poo head's family. Or to cover up the fact they had illagitmit children with . . . aliens! Some times rich poo heads suck, but sometimes they is cool peeps.
