It seems like ever since I left CT I've just been on this streak of experiencing new things, a lot of the time things I'd never really thought I needed to experience. Firefly is growing on me. I now know that your icon is not Elijah Wood in a beekeeper's getup. However, that is still totally what it looks like. Sigh. But, like, I get where it's coming from now. I like the music in Firefly, and the speech patterns, although we have to rewind a lot because they talk too fast. The characters are interesting, although it doesn't feel like they quite gel yet... Still packing, not unpacking, and your wedding pictures link (very impersonal, copied and pasted) is on the way!

Haha, now you mention it, it does look like a beekeeper's getup. That's all I can see when I look at it now.

I guess the show does take a little while to settle into its stride. It's been a long time since I watched it... Are you very far along? I remember there being a good episode about halfway through the run that goes a bit more into the backstory of how they all came onto the ship.

Ack, I apparently did not reply to this... Well, we finished Firefly, and it was pretty cool - I did appreciate the back-story episodes and what development there was time for - although frequently a bit too violent for me. I can handle bullets just fine, but am such a wuss about slicing and puncturing, and there were just sharp things everywhere, and that one episode with the crazy torturer guy that I sort of gave up on and had Ash summarize for me from another room.

I know it's been forever. My life is all kinds of different from how it used to be, but my upcoming trip to visit Wig in California has made me extra wistful for all the GD-ing days. I thought I'd check here to see if anyone still posts and you have! And recently too!

I'm happy to hear that things are going so well for you. A new house is quite exciting...do we get to see pictures of that too? :)

Also, I'm sure you're a fab librarian. You're one of those people I've always thought would be a really good librarian. I dunno why, but some people just seem to have a book-y aura about them, and you totally do.

I knew I did not reply to this. I did not really realize it had been four months... I will dig up my links to the wedding pics. Attempts at house pics thus far have been sort of pathetic, but most of the rooms are to a point where it's about time to put real effort into that.
Also, should correct you: I'm not really a librarian. I just work in circulation. But still, thank you. :) And please, if not on LJ, maybe over email, update on life, at some point?
