Atton doesn't celebrate Earth holidays, but he does have that particular eagerness to please that means he revels in the chance to give stuff to people

The only words that Kale can get out is "Bwu!" as he's pulled away, his sandwich and book falling to the ground onto some hapless waitrat.

When they reach Atton's room, Atton nudges the door open with the force and pulls Kale in, turning so that he can take Kale's other hand too.

He grins, shifting about hesitantly. "So I, uh, got you a gift. Because there's an Earth holiday where people give stuff to each other, and I've been giving stuff to people even though I'm not an Earther, so it only seemed right to give something to my ..." Pause.

Confused look.

Pause.

"What are we, exactly?"

Kale too gets a confused look as he tries to figure out exactly what they are.

Lover didn't seem quiet right. At least not yet. Friend didn't either. Nor did friends with benefits.

"I dunno." He shrugs. "We are us. So, present?"

"You have a one track mind," Atton remarked, solemnly.
