Firstly, thank you for the awesome birthday message!
Secondly, this story was truly perfect! You are so right with this, the angst and heartache is what makes them the strong couple that they are/will be. If everything was easy for them, they wouldn't have that depth to their relationship that makes them such a wonderful couple and ultimately perfect for each other.
If everything came easy to them, they wouldn't be half as interesting!
