When I was a kid, it was my worst pet peeve for someone to say "muffet" instead of "muppet". I would argue and yell at anyone I heard say it incorrectly. I specifically remember telling my sister I'd give her my tv if I was wrong. Granted, we were in the middle of pretending that horse hair caught in the fence was actually witch hair when this took place.

I haven't changed much. I hate mispronunciation/mispunctuation/misuse/misspelling, although I practice all four.

haha I know EXACTLY how that is, I hate when people mispronounce, misspell, etc etc etc.
When i was younger i would say "frick or freet" instead of "trick or treat" and when people would try to politely correct me I would deny that that was the wrong pronunciation and say that they were crazy.
