echoweaver and I did a scuba diving refresher course this weekend. For backplot, we're going to Echo's cousin's wedding in SC over Labor day weekend. As long as we're in town, we're making a bit of a vacation of it, so we're planning to do some diving. Wow. So did you shut the air off after you surfaced then?

No, the instructor leaped into action and turned off my air supply as I was still figuring out WTF happened. But, in this case, "surfacing" meant "standing up", because we were doing this whole exercise at the shallow end of the pool, basically sitting on the bottom of the pool with 3 inches of water over our heads. :-)
