Hi everyone. I miss you.

Things are really slow at work today so I thought I'd give you all an update.

I'm slowly getting used to being here. It's still hard, and I still don't like it here at all, but it's getting easier than it was. It seems like much of that is more out of resignation than anything else. However, I got my first paycheck today ( Read more... )

Hmm. To read or to watch. Well, since you read a heck of a lot more than I do, or probably will ever have the chance to, there's not much that I can suggest in the way of that. But, watching, on the other hand is a different story. I suggest Bio-Dome as it almost always makes me feel better. I also suggest Home Alone 2 with the wonderful Tim Curry. And, if you have time, Boston Legal with my husband, Bill Shatner and of course Quantum Leap. The end.

hmmm....to read. this summer i've been re-reading all my favorite speculative fiction (1984, the handmaid's tale; next i'm going to read the giver) david sedaris is extremely wonderful, if you aren't already a fan of his work. gender outlaw by kate bornstein is fun. i haven't read many novels lately, though. i can recommend a LOT of ethnographies, though, if you're interested ;) miss you!

i am a huge sedaris fan, actually, and i adore 1984, the handmaid's tale, and the giver. i'll have to check out gender outlaw. thanks for the recommendation!
