Well, we finally did it. I got my mom to get DSL for the house, and it was activated today. Now the fun begins!

Last Monday, I almost set fire to the house, destroyed the linoleum in the kitchen, and burned my right hand rather badly. It was a greasefire, and I reacted stupidly and paid for it dearly, receiving mostly first-degree

Cool camera, looks like an SLR, but without the fuss of changable lenses (and presumably without the clunky mirror/shutter assembly that SLRs use). Would be a lot cooler if it had a hotshoe, but still, very cool looking camera :*D

Also, re: the fire: Pain is temporary, glory is forever, and chicks dig scars. :*D

Yeah, I don't have much of a need for a hotshoe, but I agree it would've been nice in case I do find a need for one further down the line of the life of this little guy.

re: re: the fire: I only have one woman whom I care about seeing in my life, and we both already have a fair share of scars as it is. Also, there's not much glory in running around the kitchen with a large container of burning canola oil, rather than simply covering it up and moving it off the burner... :-P

About the tire: the tires on the vans we used in Africa were like that. Bolts or even other bits of tire pluging up holes. I higly recomend replacing it. Out of the 3 vans we had, 2 of them had tire blowwouts while we were in lion and leopard infested areas. Very scary changing them.
