I learned how to use a machete today. We cleared tall cow-grazing grass from a section of the reserve. My machete skills are still, of course, a bit lacking, but I think I will have plenty of time to improve

Thanks so much for letting me into this journal and sharing your experience. Suffice it to say that your days are filled with very different activities than mine. However, I am going to teach a business English class to GRAD STUDENTS from Korea for a couple of weeks at TSU. We're both rejuvenating but in different ways! Enjoy. Chris
Sounds like you're having a wonderful trip. Jill forwarded the link to your Livejournal after I told her that we went to a little Ecuadorian restaurant in Fell's Point for my birthday. The food was amazing and the atmosphere very authentic. Rob especially liked it since it reminded him of his trip to Peru back in January. Hope you continue to have wonderful adventures. Enjoy!
