New things going on in my life.
I thought I would take this time to update the world on my life as it is now since I haven't posted in a really long time. So for those of you who care to read this... please continue...
a) Christmas was pretty uneventful... Saw my family and such and spent it with them for the most part and then my parents dragged me to family friends of ours... The Powers family who used to babysit me as a kid... Penny, David, Brad (who is a FOX!) and Stephanie (the older other one!)... It was nice to see Liz and Carrie when I was home... sorry for not getting around to seeing more people... my trip was so tiring and I had my poor kitty cat with me too. I didn't get much loot... Most of the stuff I got was nice, but then some of it... not so much. My mom got me a bookshelf thing that has already fell apart. Oh well... I am pretty excited to read the Georgia book that Carrie got for me and (OH! Carrie... tell your mom that the Tinkerbell light kicks butt... it's like those changey light wirey things!). And the gift certificate Janine got me for Cineplex is much appreciated. Gotta love the movies. (Speaking of movies... my bootleg store place is getting pretty daaaamn good with their copies... love that place... I got the full 2-Disc PotC II for like $3...)
b) Got myself a new cell phone. Solo Mobile... Don't EVER sign up with them. They will rape you up the ass. My new phone is back to pay-as-you-go, but it's with FIDO and it is a pretty kick ass phone. I got it dirt cheap for boxing day and it's got a cool camera in it and everything. Ya.... Alex and I were totally those people who line up in front of Future Shop at 5 in the morning on Boxing Day this year... Oh my. But I got a PSP pretty cheap out of it too. It was a door crasher thing... Plus the 2GB memory card that is normally like $115 was on sale for $50... Nice. Got a wicked Marvel Encyclopedia book too from Chapters at 40% off. Niiiice. Also got a Marvel Monopoly game from Alex for Christmas and this wicked book created from the web site Stuff on my Cat which all of you should check out.
c) Also, for those of you who didn't know... Alex and I are actually an item now. It was a bit weird because we were/are roommates, but it's working out really nicely and I am just smitten. Mwaaaaah. Ok, that's all the sappiness I can deal with for now, but ya! :)
d) Booked my vacation from FedEx in March... hoping to go up to Ottawa, but if not, I might try to take a trip somewhere warm and rebook my vacation for sometime colder so my trip is more worth it! Exceeeellent.
e) Currently have a mad non-homosexual love for Zooey Deschanel. However, if I was a lesbian... Aside from Genevieve, Zooey would be at the top of my list! Hahaha... Seriously though. I found this movie the other day called "Winter Passing". I absolutely adored it. It is amazing. Will Ferrell and Ed Harris are in it as well and I can't believe it didn't get better publicity cause it is awesome. Yay Zooey... (also... she guest starred in Weeds and was HILARIOUS. Weeds = Amazing. Season Finale of Weeds = Intense...)
f) FedEx is pretty much eating up my social life. Only have parties now and again for special occasions and that's when I see people. The only people I really talk to anymore outside of Alex are Eric and all of Alex's friends... which is fine by me, but there are some people I really miss (ie. Erin, Jackie, Janine and all of my friends from home!)
g) Want to start drawing again... Don't know when I am going to find the time... Trying to read more and more and I have been thinking about drawing, but just haven't gotten around to it... napping takes up too much time! Grr... I have some stuff to upload, but no scanner as of yet, so once I look into that or borrow one from someone else, you all should check out my DA page if you haven't already done so.
Ya, so tonight, I am going out to Eric's open mic night at this Renaissance Cafe place in Scarborough around 8:30. Should be pretty good. I have tomorrow off finally, so it will be nice to go out and mingle with new people and what not. I think Alex and his friend Sylvia are going to come along too! Huzzah!
Reminder to Genevieve to send me pictures when you get home! I know I am getting annoying, but I luuurve you and I need stuff to put up in my room and I would loooove to put one of the nice ones up, in addition to the other ones I have here!
