Hmm. This piece of Transfiguration homework is really quite absorbing, but I'm pausing to write in my journal. I'm already two rolls of parchment over the set amount, so I'm nearly finished anyway

Look, I don't know if you're trying to avoid getting hexed beyond measure but there are rules in place that prevent me from doing that. So worry not. Furthermore, I think that it's you who needs to learn to co-operate with our ways. Not that I think you'll ever -understand- our ways, but you can pretend, can you not?

I'm not scared of you, Malfoy. And you've already -tried- hexing me in the past, remember? So I'm not worried.
And I'm not talking about learning how to look down on others, or, even, how to condescend and patronise, 101. Or, how about using offensive, and derogatory terms? Or being evil? I want people to learn to get -on- and just..learn to live and let live. If you want Slytherin to do well, surely it's better if you don't have a reputation as the 'nasty' house, or that people don't treat you with prejudice?
Surely, if you win house points and so on, you want to know it's because you -are- the best, not just because you managed to knock out the competition?
Outside Hogwarts, it's scary. People are -dying- and who knows, it could be well, obviously not your father, he's one of them someone you know, or their parents or something. We need to get -over- this petty rivalry, and learn to associate, free of the 'blood' defamation.
I've kicked your ARSE in marks for the past six years and I'm a 'mudblood'
You're so organized, and I can't believe you're in advanced potions. I don't think I'll get through this year. Professor Snape makes it look so easy, but it really isn't.
If you need any help with things, Natalie, isn't it? I can always point out some areas of reading to look out. If it's Potions - why don't you ask Professor Snape if one of the Advanced Class can help you out? The Slytherins seem to do well in that class.
You are an ... able student, Miss Granger, there is no doubt about that. You simply need to learn to apply yourself better. You would also do well with a change in attitude. No doubt the company you keep has a heavy influence on that.
Otherwise you have the makings of a decent student.
1 Point to Gryffindor for admitting the errors of your ways. It could have been more if you had come out earlier. Well..next time.
Merlin, sure am glad I'm not bogged down with Potions this year, not that Professor Snape would have let me in anyhow.
Okay, well don't worry about those points, you must have had a good reason, right?. I've got a big Herbology Club project coming up anyhow, should be good for a few points, at least. I hope.

Send somebody by to wake me when you actually have something worth reading to write.

I admit I am...passionate about my views, but seriously - can you say there's not some advantages to getting along better with the rest of the school?
