*appears relieved* I wanted to talk to you too. You know I care about you, und I didn't want to be the one to say that I don't want to be with you, which would be a bold faced lie. I love you, und not just physically. Perhaps . . . we should take a break, but not break up. This way, I can sort out myself without having you deal with my pressures.

I didn't mean to bring this much baggage into the relationship, most of it was dropped in my lap.

*silent for a bit* Hm. I see what you're saying, but there are parts I disagree with. You aren't a burden, if that's what you're thinking. I think that having me as a boyfriend has been a bit of a crutch for you on your path to healing. I'd rather be with you not as a crutch. I think you are strong enough, healthy enough, to strike out on your own for a while. However, you need to tone down the woeful attitude.

And Zig, this isn't high school. There isn't any "we'll be on a break but not break up" kinda things. Those aren't realistic and they don't work. Besides, you nor I can put each other on a shelf and just say, "I'll get back to you later." It isn't right. You and I are either together or not. There is no fuzzy area.

I understand. I should have thought out my answer better und I apologize if it sounded selfish. I'm just not used to being with one person exclusively. This is new to me as it has been for you.

I thought about what you said about the crutch. I never thought of you as a crutch und it's true that I have been feeling down. It's nothing that you have done, but I think this talk has been long overdue.

I don't want to break up, but the break is necessary. . . for the both of us. I guess, I'm scared.
