I do not in any way, shape or form "support the troops." Being against the war, or any war for that matter, while at the same time "supporting the troops" is bullshit. You can't habe your cake and eat it to. If you dont like an action then you shouldn't support the actor. They just following orders my ass. First, the Nuremberg tribunals established that following orders is not a valid excuse for military personel and their actions. A pro lifer does not like abortions so they protest in front of abortion clinics and try and prevent abortions from occurring. Sometimes, they even bomb these clinics in protest of abortions. These pro lifers hate abortions and abortion clinics. In fact, they even hate abortion DOCTORS--the people responsible for giving abortions. I guess you can say that pro lifers understand what is involved in an abortion and do not cut anyone who is involved slack.
On the other hand, to make this analogy work, anti war troop supporters are against the war. However, they still support the troops who are actively participating in the war they hate so dearly. So, to make it blunt, if you are anti war, it is kind of hypocritical to support an instrument of war.
