So.

I live up in Washington. Where there was this massive storm which may or may not have made it on the news elsewhere- I don't know because we couldn't watch television because the power's been out for a weekSeriously ( Read more... )

Wait, so you either broke two fingers, or have nine in total. Or your broken finger is tied to an un-broken finger, resulting in 8 functioning fingers.

A week. XD Wow. *dies* Get on MSN, you.

Broke one. Or technically the bone in my hand whichi is connected to my pinky. But they put two of my fingers in the cast, so only eight functioning.

Yeahrilly.

XD That's where I'm going. Just wanted to finish up over here first because I can't keep up with you on a good day, let alone when I'm trying to multitask and can't actually type...

Actually, strike that have to go to doctor now to get my hand looked at. Might be on later. *waves*

Pfft. West Coasters. You guys get some wind and get whiney. XD I lost power on this side too, but that happens at least twice a year.

♥ But I do hope everying's alright. I know what it's like to be without power for a week, and I hope everything's ok. Hope your Christmas is better!

*sticks out tongue* XD

Thankies. Hope your Christmas is alright too (and that we can all go a very long time without losing power for that many days again).

You too, eh? Though I was lucky - our power came back up 12 hours after it went out, so we still had food and everything.

XD Very lucky. We've been trying to use outside as a refridgerator, but Monday or Tuesday night (it's all blurring together) it got over 40 out there and the milk all went bad...

I think I've heard of that actually, because another person on my Friends List also lost power for ages.
Glad you've got it back now though. Hope everyone's safe and sound at your end.

XD Give them my condolence.

And thanks, we're all a little cold, but okay overall.

What, what, what?! I lack access to LJ for nearly a month and everything else happens?

And I suppose this is rather irrelevant, but WOAH - this is an incredibly small world. Washington? Dearie, I'm a fellow resident. :3

A friend of mine only got her power back this Tuesday, but I've clearly assumed that was the worst-case scenario. And what with you having apparently broken a finger (backtracking through your journal here), I smother you with sympathy. Exactly how are you guys getting by right now? o_O;

The storm didn't nearly hit us that bad. Sure a few things like our grill went flying off our porch, but we got by with only our lights flickering like crazy so often. Thus, no power outage. And you know I'd totally be sticking out my tongue at you if it weren't the fact that I'm an incredibly nice person. ;P

So that's why you've been so quiet. (And I thought I was bad off without it for a week...) What happened?

Hahah, Wo0t for fellow Washington-dwellers. Are you western Washington by any chance?

Actually, I'm not even worst-case scenario. I've got some friends who're not supposed to get their power back until late-night Saturday. And some other friends who aren't supposed to get their power back until after Christmas (and their water comes from a well with an electric pump) so really... I'm feeling incredibly lucky right now.

And the broken finger's really only obnoxious when I'm trying to type (or drive. It keeps getting caught on the turn signal) and it doesn't really hurt at all except when I type for extended periods of time (I've just discovered...), so that all could be much worse as well.

I stick my tongue out at you in envy. It got really cold after a while. And the whole refridgerating/cooking food thing wasn't much fun either. I'd make such a terrible pioneer... XD

What happened?

Some random Parental Controls thingie that my mother was tinkering around with. Enough complaints about lack of access to extremely important sites got that evil monstrosity off our PC finally. :D

Are you western Washington by any chance?

I am western Washington, definitely. My current residence lies right next to Everett. ;P

I'm feeling incredibly lucky right now.

Too much of the same here - I'm terribly glad that you got your power back (while meanwhile hoping you don't hurt that precious finger any further), but it must be an unbearable pain in the ass to wait until after Christmas. Holy crap.

I'd make such a terrible pioneer... XD

You and me both. Obviously this proves that I'll literally die without the Internetz. >_<;

Brilliance. I'm... not really anywhere near that. But I've heard of Everett. And I think I might've even been there once...

I ♥ your icon. ♥♥♥.
