I guess I need to see GX then...

Because eeeeee! It's all so cute. (And sort of fucking everywhere and I feel left out.) Not to mention the fact that Yuugi/Sho is definitely fast becoming a new favorite of mine, despite a complete lack of familiarity with Sho.

I don't like Sho. The Jounouchi in his voice gets to me, for some odd reason. I like Manjyome.

And while we're at it, I don't even like GX to begin with. I stopped watching it after it developed an actual plot, which I wasn't bothered enough to follow.

What? Who actually watches GX. We just read episode summaries and make shit up. XD although I do honestly intend to watch it... someday oh, but the manga! I totally read the GX manga cause it's made of adorable... and there are things like the use of a duel disk as a frisbee! bweee!

I don't know if you know about it already or not but, manga scanlations can be found here. (Viz is doing a legitimate domestic translation that they're running monthly in Shonen Jump but they're a good year behind and only running one chapter a month plus they're using the dub names in that translation and it's kinda bugging me) But yes, I'm actually a lot more fond of the manga so far. With GX I've been kinda fond of the concept and I love a lot of the characters but the way the plot of the anime appeared to go... it just got weird (although, that said, I'm totally loving the arc that is currently running in Japan. There's zombies. It's awesome)

I officially love you. Because hee! Just read through the first one (despite definitely having other things I should be doing...) and it's crack and awesome and making me all nostalgic for YGO and ♥!

And I saw the zombies on your lj earlier. Serious love for zombie!Sho.

I can't get over how dumb Sho's hair is. It doesn't even look good (like Yugi's somehow manages to). I dunno. The "new GX canon" just doesn't speak to me. :P

XD I'm actually kind of fond of Sho's dumb hair. (But I dunno, any sort of bright color and it doesn't really matter what shape it's in, I just sort of squee and love it.)

And by the "new GX canon" do you mean the show itself, or syntheticduel?

XD Yeah, I can sort of sympathize there. It first started appearing and I was less interested and more pissed off that three fourths of the posts on my flist were suddenly about this (and not the pairings I wanted to see...)

But there are aspects of it that are definitely growing on me.

I've watched GX. It's actually pretty good, I wrote a small essay about it back in my LJ. It's... it's a better 'done' show than Yu-Gi-Oh, with easier amounts of Editing. But Yu-Gi-Oh is better concept wise.
Give it a go, definatly but don't go in with your hopes too high...
