I really like your theory! I missed the first 15 minutes and felt kind of lost through the rest of it (haven't gotten around to rewatch yet) but did wonder when she would have recorded that video. But the shot of the hull was, I think, to show the ominous Crack that was also in Amy's room and on the screen in the TARDIS at the end of Eleventh Hour. Feels very Bad Wolf to me, and I'm not sure if I like (do not want even more rehashed stuff).
2) Things do tend to make more sense when you don't skip the first third of them.
That theory about the crack makes sense, actually. But if that's following Amy around, then why not tell herself that, or to stop traveling? I guess I just don't know enough of the story yet to pin down specifics.
2) Yeah, of course there's no way to understand the whole story this early on. Maybe Amy didn't know about the crack when she recorded the video and something else went wrong as a result of the Doctor's actions. I bet the Doctor knows about the crack being somehow connected to Amy though, he saw it on the screen while insisting that he just wants her to travel with him for fun. Sneaky bastard.
