Just remember that she should be confined to a very small space without any activity for up to 14 days after her spay. She could rip her internal stitches and get a blood clot.

Thank you for the advice! We got a room all set up for her.

It's like we're bringing home a baby.

I really hope she likes her kennel. It's full of soft things.

Edie! That's great.

Edie Bean!

I have a Noah that I call Noah Bean, a Shuba that I call Shubby-loo; Laurie has a Scooter (huge and orange, like a "Scooter" should be) and a Boots that I call Booty-licious. (She didn't pick the names, they were all grow-ed up when she adopted them.)

Maybe I should think of how it'll fit with the gaggle of cats we have...

Nora.

I like it.

That's the one that looks LEAST like a bee!

Congratulations on your new baby! I can't help you with the names, because all the ones I can think of are sort of sarcastic, like "Beatrice" or "Rhapsody in Beige".

But I just wanted to say that I too am excited about Harry Potter and you're not a dork.

"Beatrice" might actually work. ha!

see, I want something clever, and, maybe, sarcastic.

though I don't want the other dogs at the dog park to make fun of her.

Maybe "Sherry Ann"?

They won't make fun of her! I think "Sherry Ann" is excellent, though.

I really like the name Idgie - but that's definitely a name that has to "fit". You know?

How about wigwam? Oh wait, that's just something I've always wanted to name a little brown pup. Wigwam.

I saw a pup at the park the other day who was just the cutest in the whirled. Her name was "ping pong" She stood up on her hind legs all the way so she could see the squirels better. How ingenious.

I also like "Amie" (you can pronounce it Amy) because Amie means friend in French.

Hmm...lesse. Don't forget every puppy turns into a dog!

Elsa
Ellie
Anais
Adia

Okay - enough. Just some suggestions!

Thank you!

I really wanted to name her "Idgie," but Laurie nixed it.

And then I realized I'd feel like such a lesbian if I had a dog named "Idgie".

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Ha.

My cat's name is Riley. I always wanted to name a puppy Madison or Parker. I guess I'm into last name sounding puppy names! :)

I wanted to call her "Maddy," but Laurie shot me down.

My cousin is Riley, but I really like that name.

Parker is quite cute. And it's Mary Louise's last name.
