Part 1 the beginning, was very cheezy. I could not stop LOLing and asking my co-viewer "are they for real?" I must've been quite obnoxious. Forebody voice and "BAD DREAMS" do not go together.
The Master got brought back by a cult of female overactors. Lucy Saxon's new hairdo was quite fetching. Good prison stylist.
"The Secret Books of Saxon"--what? Now that was just silly. The Master was only Harold Saxon for eighteen months. The fanatic females I can almost believe, but when was there time for secret books to have been written about him?
I still like the Ood. Could've used more Ood.
The Master's super powers.... Oh man. Less said the better.
Oh, Donna. So nice to see you again, I wish they'd fixed your brain, though. This love is bittersweet...!
"THE MASTER RACE" HAHAHA. I died from lolz and came back to life because clearly any fucking thing is possible. This is the crackiest most accidentally-brilliant-but-actually-stupid thing I've ever seen on TV.
Part 2 was a bit... yeah, were some Time Lords talking or something? I wasn't paying attention to that bit.
I guess I really do like Wilf, as much as I've stubbornly tried to remain unimpressed. He's just too cute.
The Doctor took the gun. Oh my gosh, do you think they're trying to send a signal here?
The Doctor saved the day...! And then died from something else, oops. Well, I liked Wilf in this bit. But can I still pretend not to notice the lack of story cohesion? IDK.
WHINE MOAR, DOCTOR. Geez.
OK, this whole part with the Doctor saying goodbye was stupid. The only good bits were the ones with Sarah Jane and Luke, and the scene with Rose, which was really quite lovely--aww, Rose... Yeah, anyway, I think it was pretty stupid. The Doctor just stands there looking gloomy and... what? Companions use their psychic powers to read his mind and determine that he's about to die/regenerate? Really? Plus, this whole Mickey & Martha thing is too annoying. Why?! (And did everybody forget Martha's a medical doctor, by the way?)
I don't have much to say about Jack's scene. It was fine. (Unless they were to make more Torchwood and Jack explicitly stated that one shag with Alonso cured all his hurts, but how unlikely is that?.)
The new Doctor... he looks awful young, but sounds good... I am looking forward to next series!
