So, I think my Finite Element project might be finished. I still need to run it through Ansys and compare, but so far so good. The problem involves a 4x6 inch plate with a 1.5 inch diameter hole in the middle. The plate has a pressure of 2000psi outward applied at the left and right edges. The code was 196 lines in Matlab (including comments). Here

woot! ok, i know i said that it reminded me of an image i have/would have seen in astro...and while i can't find an exact one...i found it reminds me of either:
