We got the spot on Reuben's head checked. The doctor said it was what was called a 'strawberry haemangioma'. It's about the size of an apple seed right now, but started off invisible, then grew to the width if a hair and about a centimetre long. The doctor said it would coninue to grow until he was 5 years old, then would disappear. He said it ( Read more... )

Chelsea has a hemangioma under her skin on her back near her shoulder blade. It's about an inch across right now and it sticks out a ways. Our doctor said the same thing about it growing until she was about five and then it'll disappear.

I'm sorry you all have been sick. I hope everyone's feeling better soon!

Weird! Brandon has one on his arm. It wasn't there at birth - then it appeared by the time he was 6 weeks old. We were told that it would grow till he was 1, then start to disappear and be gone by the time he was 5. It's definately fading and isn't as prominent. His started about the same size - it's on his left arm.

I'm glad Brandon's is starting to disappear now. :) How big did it grow before it started to fade?
