So we went to Capoeira last night. The music was awesome, the people cool, the roda was fun. They don't seem to do a lot of tricks, which is a bummer. The biggest disappointment though is it's 5 pounds a class, or about $160 per month for 2 classes a week. Ouch! The teacher gave a 5 minute recounting of why Gandolf would have made a shitty Japanese swordsman due to his poor zanshin (since he turned his back after the Balrog fell, which he attributed to the monster being too fat, which let said monster snag him with the whip).
