"It's better to teach you how to fish than always giving you a fish to eat."
If you don't get a degree from college after all those years of hard work, why should they go to waste, so whatever may the solution be, you should be able to figure it out and make it out alright. After all, you should be glad you're going through college pretty well. I know that you should not worry too much about immediate money income, what's really important is the debt you will pay off after the whole college thing is over with.
So in other words, once you know how to fish, (which you do a lot of it now, I believe) you don't and won't need SSI, financial awards, etc. So why get SSI if you are going to graduate soon? Just go for the extra mile! You're almost there, stick it to the devil. :)
BTW, I really miss you as a friend, so each time I read a post from you, I just feel blessed to have friends like you staying in touch with us all, no matter how infrequent.
you're not alone with disliking jean baker- i'm not even going to type out appropriate grammar as shes not worth my time.
However there are lots of SSI backpayments you can collect if you think about it- if you NEVER had ssi then they owe you about 6k per year since you became 18 *could even be before if you applied before* so lets assume that you didnt have ON THE RECORD job til you were 21? so thats 3 years of backpayments? that could help tide you over next year for school?

Any dirt on Jean Baker will go a long way with me. I'll take any scoop on her I can get.
