Exactly. If I found out anyone had given me drugs without my consent I'd be seriously, seriously pissed. If someone else wants to take them then fine, who am I to judge. But there are many reasons why I've never touched pot in my life, including the fact that it can trigger serious depression if you have a family history of it (as I do). And like you said, what if someone takes a drug test for a job or for sport or something?
I'm not entirely sure what you think is stupid about that. It's possible to have the sort of mind that has a tendency towards depression but not to experience full-blown crippling bouts of it until something really triggers it. Could cannabis be a trigger? Evidence (including anecdotal evidence I've heard) points towards yes, but I realise it's not certain and no one knows for sure as there are many factors involved. After growing up with a manic depressive dad, who has a very similar personality to me, and suffering mild, short bouts of anxiety and depression myself, do I want to take the risk? No way. If someone else decided to take that risk without my knowledge I'd be absolutely furious.
First - both unhealthy and a waste of money. A part of me wants to believe it's a troll.
About the second one - the missing word (his/her) is left as to not hint the gender of "the friend", I think. However, it's completely redundant since recognizing who made that postcard is nearly impossible.
I'm still reading the third one in Dumbledore's voice. His "lady if choice" doesn't change a thing. :p
The second one probably wasn't glued well enough and the him/her fell off while it was being mailed. That's happened quite a lot with postards, words will be missing.

So damn stupid it's unreal. What if one of the family members loses their job over a random drug test?

The prevalence of depression and anxiety increased with higher extents of cannabis use, but this pattern was clearest in female participants
