013 - Video
[ After failing to find any traces of a land-walking sea monster wandering around in the thick fog near Violet City, and somehow getting himself lost in the process, Gokudera decided to take a break. He sat down under a tree to conserve his energy and to check the network to see if anyone had reported seeing the elusive U.M.A.
They hadn't. Instead it seems that pretty much everyone has gone bat shit crazy. People are having nightmares, hallucinating and the fog is only getting thicker and that can only mean one thing - the fog is actually mist!
N-no. Wait, that makes sense. The fog is causing the illusions and they're based on nightmares.
So that makes Gokudera pretty glad that he hasn't slept in a few days. He should probably try and sat awake...
...at some point during this revelation, however, he fell asleep.
Gokudera's nightmare was relatively short compared to what most people seem to be going through. He just dreamt that the rest of the Guardians had shown up along with Tsuna. That wasn't so bad; it wasn't the first time he'd had that dream since arriving in Johto and probably wouldn't be the last. The only downside was that those other losers were acting all buddy buddy with the Tenth.
But then the dream changed. He remembers getting shot by the Ten Year Bazooka and winding up in the future. Then waiting around for the usual five minutes...then ten minutes...and then fifteen.
But nothing happened.
He wasn't switching back with his Ten Year Later self.
It was as soon as the fear of being trapped in an awful version of the future Johto set in that he woke up. ]

[ Gokudera wakes up with a start, coughing on an imaginary cloud of pink smoke that melts into a thick fog. His heart is racing and he knows that what he just experienced was a nightmare but...
The music on Route 32 has been replaced with a new piece of music, all of his poké balls look like Boxes and his pokémon look like Box Weapon versions of themselves. Complete with Dying Will Flames.
He checks the network again, trying to calm down, convince himself it was just a nightmare - which isn't as easy as he thought it would be. He's not even sure how long he was asleep.
...everyone on the network appears to be ten years older than the last time he checked.
He tries to think things through. Didn't some idiot tell him that the fog was causing nightmares and hallucinations?
But everything seems too real for that. Not even Mukuro or Torikabuto's illusions were this convincing. ]
