Short answer: Stupid bitch is still on the internet and the cat is probably dead or close to it. "Duh duh duh, I *know* he needs a vet, I just wants someone to explain WHY (cause I don't want to pay for a vet to tell me)."
I wish I could have reported her. I suspect at least one of the two people who work for local vets will do so. Or maybe the family member who was clearly upset with her.
A bit of info: We're all on a large peninsula. I don't think any local vet's office is open after 6PM weekdays. And the emergency vet is across a floating draw bridge about an hour or two hours off the peninsula. So getting there is a VERY long drive. Even more so when you're nursing a seriously ill pet. I know, I've done it...
That said, The STUPID pet owner here said her cat had been in distress for hours. She easily could have contacted a local vet during their open hours. Hell, she wasted 45 minutes in this argument. If she'd just taken Helpful Person #3's advice right away she probably would have been able to get the cat in at a local clinic. But she didn't. Probably because of the money. But waiting sure didn't save her any. Even if all they did was euthanize. Locally, that's $60 at the shelter, or anywhere between $80 to $120 at a vet, depending on who
