my brain bleeds like a squeezed sponge

the anterior cingulate is a shriveled gray raisin,
                                                                             no goals attained at the days end
the frontal lobe is filled with acid 
                                                           it hisses and sizzles as if it's on a skillet

oh Bravo! This is so full of emotion and thought .. the images and repetition of the squeezed sponge makes it circular.

Stylistically it is good too ... it helps give it more flavour and sound.
