The problem is your research will be biased because it is a voluntary response sample.

Funny how all research has that problem because it is inherently unethical to FORCE someone to participate in research or observe or do research on someone without their knowledge.

So unless you want to do research that can have any validity with working only on public records of people who have been dead for at least 50 years and NO ONE owns the documents such as a museum, library, government agency, or private group, than it is impossible to not have the voluntary response bias unless you abide by no ethical code. Hey...it worked for the Nazis, but I'd rather have a /slightly/ skewed response set than treat human beings like lab rats.

However I do appreciate your clearly well-informed feedback.

Did you sleep through statistics class or something? It's not all research, it's your faulty research. If you don't understand the difference, nor why the results you get from a random voluntary response online is biased, maybe you should seek out a statistics professor to help you understand. Actually, not even a professor, this is like high school stuff.
