you dont know it? it was on in 1983 and set in about 1905ish, it was a blatant attack on thatcher and britain under her. it was incredibly funny, featured two families - the hardacres led by paterfamilias timothy west and the fairchilds. basically the hardacres own everything and everyone works for them; but it takes everything to the extreme, for instance hardacre unveils a new plaque to the orphanage he's just built, and holds it in the workers dinner hour, so as to miminise lost man hours, and as they've not had time to eat anything, the workers can donate their money to the orphanage. and when a family contract tb, he takes the roof of their house so they can get fresh air "and they were improving as well, right up untill they died!" my favourite quote is "you young people today, you dont know how to wring a cap properly!"
