I have a question...
I made a new layout for myself and I put it up, my entries are not showing. What do I need to put in to make my entries show? and it is only showing my new layout on my livejournal but not friends page. I've looked in edit style for help but I don't get it. :-/

When you say your entries aren't showing, do you mean that you see your new style, but it's empty? Or that your entries are there, but not visible against a background? Or something else?

How much HTML and CSS do you know, and how familiar are you with the LJ style system?

As for it showing on only your journal and not your friends page -- they use separate styles. If you want to use the same type of style for your friends page, you will need to create a friends-page style.

I was wondering if there was a way to put a scroll bar across the bottom of my text box on my friends page. I don't like that whenever they post a big pic or something it makes the box HUGE.

BTW I have a paid account and I know enough about HTML/CSS and what not.

Thank you if you can help me,
Pinkish

Problems with CSS Overrides ivoryisis_older May 22 2003, 16:04:36 UTC
The question: I was wondering if someone could help me with my CSS overrides on LiveJournal. It seems that my main font in the body & td areas isn't working like I want it to..I'd like it to show up silver. If anyone could take a look at my source code, I would appreciate it.. leave me a comment in my journal if you do, please. http://www.livejournal.com/users/ivoryisis
If you need any help in return or want something in return, let me know. I do some overrides myself, & I make icons, haha. *shrug*

Whether or not you have a paid account: Not paid

The amount of HTML/CSS knowledge you have: Good amount. I do simple web designs, however, I am fairly new to CSS.

The amount of knowledge you have regarding the LJ style system: Not much, lol, only a small amount

E-mail if you wish: IvoryIsis@Hotmail.Com

Hi,

I am a free user using the generator style. I have a question regarding whether it is possible to override the line that separates the number of comments posted link from the post a comment link, i.e.

3 comments | post a comment

If so, what override would I use to eliminate that line? I already have an image functioning as a separator and would prefer not to have that line competing with the image.

p.s. for a concrete example of what I mean, you may check it out here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/monotologue/?skip=9

p.p.s. by the way, I have general HTML/CSS knowledge although i would still consider myself somewhat of a beginner. i have a fair amount of overrides operating on my journal so anything basic i would most likely understand.
