I made a similar gender role joke in my SAT prep class, a couple weeks after I had made it obvious my first-choice college was Wellesley. Something about how (some girl in the class) couldn't solve the math problem because females are supposed to be at home cooking and cleaning, not solving math equations. All the girls in the class turned sharply and glared at me, and I just threw my head back and laughed.
